Welcome To Ubiquity Joe!

With a host of new clients on board with Ubiquity, we’ve opened our doors to take on another team member. So, say a big welcome to the newest member of our team, Joe, who has come to us fresh out of university.

We’ve asked Joe to tell us a little bit about him and his experience so far working at Ubiquity…

“I am a half Scottish and half Lebanese graduate who was born and raised in the United Arab Emirates (to my surprise, I don’t meet very many people with the same background as me!)

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and reversing its positive effects with a good night out on the weekend! I also enjoy binge watching Netflix shows (who doesn’t?).

I moved to Cardiff in 2014 where I attended Cardiff Metropolitan University, graduating with a First-Class Honours in Marketing. I was also awarded the Princes Gate Marketing Management Prize Award for the best overall performance in Marketing Management.

I’ve been extremely lucky with my work experience whilst at school and university, as I have worked in the marketing departments of many well-known companies such as the Hilton Hotel and the Mall of Qatar, which provided me the opportunity to work with Leo Burnett in Doha.

Taking my first steps into the working world, I spent many weeks looking for a marketing job and was fortunate to stumble across an opportunity to work for Ubiquity.

Following a coffee trip with the CEO, Chad James, the deal was sealed and I was offered my first job! Having put his trust in my abilities, he, along with the rest of the team have welcomed me with open arms, making me feel right at home.

As a man of routine and someone who likes to keep busy, I have taken to working life like a fish to water.

Learning how each department of an advertising agency works and how it all links together, whilst focusing on developing my skills as a media planner has been by biggest challenge so far. This challenge, however, has been what I have enjoyed most about working here.

Ubiquity have provided me with a platform that allows me to ask questions, learn from my mistakes and improve overall – not just as an employee but as a person, and I am looking forward to my journey ahead here at Ubiquity.”
