We were tasked with creating an innovative, playful and dynamic website to show off S4C’s new creative hub, Yr Egin in Carmarthen. The website needed to appeal to two distinctive audiences: business who were looking for co-working space with possibilities to hire for industry events and use post-production facilities and also to attract the public to the centres’ education and event offering.
We looked at the existing Yr Egin brand and pulled out 3 key functions of the website: to inform, to entertain and to sell. We came up with a design which encompassed a balance between a visually striking website and a website which gave all users a simple yet effective experience. We ensured that customers would be able to book spaces, event tickets and post-production facilities through an easy system that also allowed Yr Egin to be able to monitor what facilities were being booked by who and when.
The final website incorporated a modular and immersive style which featured shapes inspired by the existing Yr Egin brand logo. The colour palette used throughout the website is seasonal and will be adapted throughout the year.
The Yr Egin website will be able to showcase future and past events at the centre and show off what a great addition to Carmarthen it is.
